Email alerts & delivery status
How alert emails are sent, and what 'accepted by provider' means.
Alert emails are sent through Resend. Delivery status is reported honestly: 'accepted by provider' means Resend accepted the message — final inbox delivery is handled by the provider, not Breaklytix.
- Failures are categorized (sender configuration, rejected, rate limited, network, unknown) and surfaced in the UI.
- If the sender is still in Resend's sandbox (onboarding@resend.dev), emails only reach the account owner — the UI warns you with '(sandbox sender)'.
- Settings -> Email has a 'Send test email' button to verify your delivery path end to end.
TipFor production email to real recipients, add a verified domain sender (RESEND_FROM_EMAIL) — see the environment configuration section at the end of this guide.
